The Law regulates the procedure of preparing and holding the sessions and meetings of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine; determines the legislative procedure of scrutinizing the issues under its competence and performing supervising activity of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
The Law consists of 6 chapters and 240 clauses.
The first chapter determines the legislative principles of work of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
The second chapter regulates the procedural aspects of work of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
The third chapter settles the issues concerning formation of the coalition of deputy factions, working bodies of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, election, appointment and dismissal of their officials.
The fourth chapter relates the following legislative procedures: submission and withdrawal of bills, scrutiny of the bills at the First, Second and Third Readings; drafting of the bills and referral for the President´s signature; adoption of resolutions and other acts of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, their storage and publication.
The fifth chapter is dedicated to the scrutiny of issues and adoption of resolutions by The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine under the special procedures.
The sixth chapter sets the principles of parliamentary control.
